I didn't go to art school - I was a History major! But when I was about 30 I started taking life drawing lessons at a nearby community college. A few years later, I took a printmaking class and was introduced to monotypes. I fell in love!
But I haven't had the studio/space/press/etc. to do them in recent years, so I developed my painting style instead.... But yesterday I spent a wonderful four hours with artist Karine Swenson. Here is a horse that I reworked with watercolor and charcoal and ink today. I'm in love all over again! (See more here.) Thank you, Karine!
