Relationship aside, there's times when my galpal Liz brings me home some pretty funny tale. Here's one I got yesterday.....

 As you know, Liz is an assistant manager at a fast food joint. Tragically, the place had to shitcan a kid last Thursday. Fired. You-don't-work-here-anymore.

Kid had perfomance issues, lousy attendance and had to be let go.

 It happens.

 Yesterday (Saturday) the kid comes in for his last paycheck. It's only been 2 days since he was fired, so naturally, the home office or whatever hasn't had time to cut the kid his check. He actually doesn't get it until the following week, is how it works in accounting.

 I mean what the fuck, it's a fucking burger joint, ya know?

 Well yesterday the kid gets told he's gotta wait a week for his dough. He slinks out and that's that.

 Except he comes back in five minutes, and this time he's got his mother in tow. She is a very large black woman. (Liz says the lady is 280 pounds, easy).

 She is also a very LOUD woman, who insists upon her scrawny 16 year old fuckup kid getting paid "RIGHT NOW!"

 Liz and her crack assistant management team explain to the lady that's not how businesses work; that the kid has to wait a week to get paid.

 "We ain't fucking leaving here until he gets paid" Big Mama insists. "You all had no business firing him in the first place!"

 They explain again.

 She insists again.

 Big Mama drapes herself across the counter, where she blocks out the sun and starts yapping to a few customers in line about this "shit place".

 They ask her to leave.

 "I'll leave when my baby gets his money" she smiles, and starts pulling out NAPKINS from a dispenser, one by one, and tossing them about with flair.

 Give the broad points for tenacity.

 Alas, the local police are called in. Big Mama pleads her case. They ask her to leave, and thankfully, she does, but not after extracting a promise from poor Liz and her associates that "her baby" will receive his final paycheck this coming Friday by 4:00 p.m.

 Hoo boy, I can't wait......
