9 PM We just got back from the hospital for another quick visit.  I had a heavy day at work so I didn’t get back in time for the 1 PM visit, but I did make the 5:30 AM and the 5 PM.  Lorraine and I shaved Mikie at the 5 PM visit.  He was doing quite well.  They removed the NG tube and did another CT Scan today.  The surgery is set for 7 AM Tomorrow (Friday). They plan to put in the new shunt and internalize the tube into his heart. This sounds a little scary and I don’t have a clue about how long it will take.  I plan to bring my laptop and will update the blog as I get progress reports.  It’s nice that they have provided a wireless connection in the hospital for free.

 I’m thinking we will be home by midweek next week, maybe Wednesday.  We’ll see how far off I am. 

If you get this by morning please prayer for Doctor Lynwood Smith. (Ok, you can pray for all the doctors names Smith if you want, I’m sure God can handle it.)  Pray also for the others assisting in the surgery and a speedy recovery!)

We will probably be in the 3^rd floor waiting room at Richland from 7 AM until who knows when.  We’ll go up at 5:30 and find out what the scoop is.  Check the blog for updates.
