They brought Mikie up from recovery and got him off the vent already! When we got in to see him he was of course very uncomfortable. He looked like he was going to upchuck, so I got ready with the suction. About then Dr. Smith and his Nurse Practioner walked in and gave him a good look over and asked how he was. Overall, considering what he just went through, I didn’t think he was in too bad of shape, but I did say he looked like he just had surgery. Then they realized what Mikie was about to do and they backed up a step and commented how I was in the line of fire. I was ready when he let it fly and got most of it before he could choke on it. He had a couple of good coughs and actually you could see that he immediately started to feel better. It helps some times just to get it over with. He did have a few seizures but that wasn’t completely unexpected. We stayed with him until about 5:30 and when we left he was sleeping like a baby, breathing very clearly and looking great.
I’m still calling for Wednesday to be homecoming day.

Great is thy faithfulness.
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed thy hand hath provided.
Great is thy faithfulness.
Lord unto me.
