We were hoping Mikie would get to come home by Wednesday but it doesn’t look like it will happen yet.  We are still having trouble with the bile coming up into his stomach and eventually he gets sick and then you know what happens.  As long as the NG tube is in place with the suction then he is one happy camper.  He really feels and looks good now except for this.  Hopefully a doctor will come around tomorrow that has some insight into what is going on.  I think that since it is coming out both ends then there must be something in the middle that is not letting the bile go on into the small intestine as it should.  The bile is created in the liver and is supposed to do its job in the intestine mixing with the almost liquefied food that comes from the stomach.  I may be wrong about that, if someone knows better exactly how this stuff works please let me know.  Since he recently had a new J tube placed, I suspect that something is not quite right there.  There is a balloon on the inside of the jejunum that prevents the tube from being pulled out.  I wonder if it is too large.

Boy am I am whipped.  We have a plugged up shower drain at home that I just can’t seem to get undone.  We finally had to go next door to Lorraine’s mothers old house and use the shower.  We are planning on moving over there for a while and redecorating our house so we may have to speed up that plan.

Pray that the docs figure out what is going on her so we can come home!  Meanwhile, Mikie is in room 603 at Palmetto Richland.  We both go up very early in the morning to visit and Lorraine stays with him all day and come back up after work.  You can visit if you like or give us a call at 803-434-6859.
