It is just after 9 PM and Mikie has been moved from ICU to room 810.  He us doing pretty well, but not as well as I would like to see.  He is trying to wake up but only getting about halfway there.  Literally, he only has one eye open. This is probably a sign of some strange neurological activity, and we have seen something like it before.  He did get over it then, hopefully he will get over this.

Lisa, thanks for the tip on Autonomic Dysflexia.  I read up on it and it sounds like a name that fits pretty well what was happening with Mikie.  It seems that the cause was something intestinal but the docs just weren't able to find out what that was.  I'm going to ask a few of them about AD or hyperreflexia and see what they say.

Anyway, here we are. we'll be leaving shortly to go home and get some rest but will be back up in the morning.
