Not much to report, things are about the same.  Mikie has been pretty stable, and really still quite uncomfortable.  He has had a little rattle in the chest off and on the last few days.  They wanted to close up his incision but don’t want to do it until this clears up.  Tomorrow they are going to do a Thoracentesis procedure.  (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003420.htm)

I guess they think he might have some fluid between the lining of his lungs and the chest wall.  

He is responding fairly well to the pain medicine, and he has only had a few seizures.  It is so sad to hear him moaning and sighing.  Lorraine has been staying with him during the day and I do the night shift, but we have been sleeping at home.  We’ve got to be careful to get our rest so we don’t get sick ourselves.  Lorraine is scheduled for a complete hip replacement at the end of June.  They wanted to do it this week but we just didn’t think that would be wise.
