Scar of David...

A little after 10pm last night my phone started ringing off the hook. It seems that WTVF our local CBS affiliate led their broadcast with this story.

I have known David Clark and his 2 sisters since he was 12 years old and while I don't dispute the facts, that he was indeed having a relationship with this 15 year old girl, he didn't rape anybody and the girl and her mother will verify that and if he had been a few months younger when the first charge happened there would have been no first charge.

David had been living with his aunt Angella until he turned 18 and moved out. He thought that Angie was too controlling. Angella happens to be my best friend and closest confidant and when David left her house it just went downhill from there. He kept dating these girls and they were all 14 or 15 years old but he was only 18 so it wasn't so bad and then the first charge came from one of these girls parents. They locked him up and put him in the sex offenders database and then he got out. He talked tough and said that jail wasn't so bad but he opted to take an early release with extended probation and then he was back in business. If that had happened to me the last thing I would be doing is dating anyone under the age of 18 but you just have to know David. He's not the sexual predator that they are making him out to be. He's just a kid that used poor judgment. I hope that anonymous tipster rests easy tonight knowing that they've helped keep the streets free of people like David. In case you can't tell I'm being sarcastic.
