So here it is the final act of what I hope will be a 3 act play. I have opinions on a wide variety of things and I have more passion within me to blog about these interests instead but this has to be done. This entry is an attempt to disprove a lie that has been accepted as truth even before Bill Bennett opened his mouth and said what he said.

Around the time I first began realizing that my views were Republican ones I discovered Rush Limbaugh and his syndicated television show. I began watching it every day. I certainly didn't agree with Rush on everything but it was surprising to me how much I did agree with him on. On one of these shows he told a story of a beverage company named Brooklyn Bottling that was being nearly bankrupted by a lie. The companies drinks were being sold throughout New York's inner cities and two of it's flavors, Top Pop and Tropical Fantasy became major hits earning gross sales of over 2 million dollars a month for the bottler. A rumor began circulating that the company was a front for the Ku Klux Klan and that the beverages in question contained a genetic virus that was capable of rendering black men sterile.

Rush did his best to dispel this rumor and asked "How would the virus know if it was in a black person or a white person?" and he also asked what would the effects be on someone of mixed race. It was all fascinating to me but the implications were sinister and as more blacks became aware of the rumor the sales of the two drinks plummeted by 70 percent. There have been other rumors that play into these fears. Eating Church's Chicken was also said to to have this same effect on black males. Sounds a little silly doesn't it? But let's go a bit further. Conspiracy buffs have long speculated that the AIDS virus was in fact man made to destroy both blacks and gays. In the black community AIDS cases are occurring at much faster rates than other racial groups and on the continent of Africa the virus is still spreading like wildfire.

Over and over again you can see a common reoccuring theme, fear occurring through the belief that somehow whites are going to figure out a way to simply get rid of us and stopping our ability to reproduce is the best way to bring this about. While unintentional Bill Bennett's words gave credence to those fears and those of you who have defended the statement added fuel to the fire. The statement itself is flawed as unless other steps are taken (which I will lay out) you will not achieve the desired effect. I'm basically going to show all of you who defend Bennett's "innocent" little statement what you're buying for your money and how his nothing of a statement has far more sinister implications. The reason Bennett's statement is so dangerous is because while it is a lie, it's a lie that is easy to believe.

Why is it a lie? Easy, babies don't commit crimes. Of the over 575,000 black babies born in this country last year not a single one raped, murdered, or sold drugs to anyone. But babies grow up and become adults and adults do commit crimes now don't they? Let's solve that problem now, shall we? With the wave of my wand I will do exactly what Bennett said and abort every single black baby in this country. Ready? Done! I have single handedly aborted over 575,000 innocent lives for the sole purpose of decreasing the crime rate in this country. Obviously the effects will not be instantaneous but we worked hard to bring about a reduction of crime and we deserve to see the fruits of our labor so let's take a trip to the future and see the effects of all those deaths.

As I mentioned before the changes will occur but not overnight so with another wave of my wand I've taken us all 20 years into the future since most of the studies I've read say that the peak ages that young adults turn to crime are 18 to 24. Now to be fair we made no allowances for improvements in technology and improvements in education which both could help decrease overall crime in this country. The reason being that with the increases of cyber-crimes you would have to allow that as technology improves people will find smarter ways to commit crimes and that over a 20 year period crime would not simply go down and would actually change and morph into new types of crimes.

Simple robberies and other petty crimes would be outdated in this time due to better law enforcement techniques, so some crimes would go down but would simply be replaced by more sophisticated crimes like hacking, phreaking, and cyber-piracy. With the balance shifting in these areas the overall crime rate hasn't changed much at all as we arrive in the future. In fact my data shows that not only has the black population increased during this 20 year span the crime rate itself is about the same give or take a point or two.

Show of hands, who can tell me why this is? That's right! In our haste to abort all those black babies we did no long term planning. We took no precautions to make sure that those women who were effected could not reproduce so many of them did and even then there are still a few million young black children who will grow to reach sexual maturity and the cycle would begin again. This should at least demonstrate that what I said is correct and that the Bennett statement is flawed and thus not the truth. Other measures will have to be taken to make it the truth so let's do that. We will redo the experiment and this time we will correct our mistakes and in fact I've noticed a few more that I'll throw in for experiment number 2. We will get it right this time, I promise!

We go back to our starting point and begin anew. With a wave of my wand I re-abort all 575,000 black babies. We will also begin mass sterilization programs on both young and old blacks alike. I estimate this to take about 10 years given the current U.S. black population but we can shave at least 3 years off with 24 hour clinics. Any children conceived during this period will also have to be aborted. We will also have to include people of mixed race into the equation and any Hispanics of African descent. Sammy Sosa is Dominican but the brother is darker than me as are many Brazillians, Cubans, and Puerto Ricans among others. The slave trade was quite prevelant in South America and the coastal island regions. Many of those people are now living here and will have to be sterilized as well. You will also have deal with the immigration of blacks from other countries as well. I propose passing a law that states that all blacks from other parts of the world who wish to reside in the U.S. will have to volunteer to be sterilized in order to live here. This would include their spouses and children as well. I think that should get the job done this time. Let's go back to the future and see what the results are.

Okay it appears to be working most violent crimes have dropped across the board. Of those black kids that we sterilized earlier some did turn to crime but with no new black births occurring these black people will die out eventually in say 40 or 50 years effectively giving you the desired result. So while you'll be too old to enjoy the decrease in crime your great grandchildren will thank you for it!

Now I'm sure that some of you will say "That's not what Bennett said! He didn't even suggest anything so sinister.". You're right, but as I have stated before and used the former part of this exercise to demonstrate, the Bennett statement is flawed. The latter part is meant to demonstrate to all of you who have argued that the statement itself is "statistically correct" that it in fact is not and what in truth would have to be done to bring about a final solution to the task proposed.

Final solution, now why does that sound so familiar? It couldn't possibly be that to suggest even hypothetically the mass genocide of an entire racial group of people is to embrace Hitler doctrine. How can so many stand there and defend the very notion that this is a credible idea? I know all of you out there may not feel the same as I do. I've read too many blogs in the last few weeks since Katrina hit to know that even among decent folks there are still major hangups about race in this country.

Now I want to say something to the more extreme among you. The one's who write about under qualified blacks doing this or that or that a white man can't say anything critical about blacks without being branded a racist. Do you really want us to die? I'd wager that most of you are good and decent people and that while many of you would prefer not to have to deal with that annoying black person that makes your life so miserable you're certainly not standing around praying for that person to die, for his kids to die, and for the kids of people you've never even met to die. By embracing this statement and trying to defend it as being "blown out of proportion" or "the truth" that's exactly what you're doing.

Perhaps this is so real for me because to me it wasn't so hypothetical. Those of you who have been reading this blog for a while may remember my post from a few months ago where I revealed that my own child was  aborted last December because his grandmother felt that a black child would not be accepted in their family. I spent nearly three months holding the mother in my arms, rubbing her pregnant belly, and planning our future together and it was all snatched away because of the color of my skin. I am not a criminal and my child wouldn't have been one either had he gotten the chance to live.

All the facts and figures in the world can't account for reality. In reality some blacks might object to having their children aborted or being sterilized which would spark a race war not just between blacks and whites but among other groups that might fear that they would be targeted next. Whites who have friends and family members who are black would most certainly object to mass abortions based solely on race. Show me your facts and figures that account for that. And if even a fraction of what I've laid out were to happen wouldn't that mean that the crime rate has increased? When my mother was born into segregation I'm sure that there were facts and figures that would have shown a much different path for her life than what happened in reality. But somehow the math just didn't add up and people took a stand and changed things. I'm looking forward to the future. It's going to be a very interesting place to live in.
