MaDD HaTT versus the super chimp!

By now you've been exposed to the pissing match that has been my war with one Aaron Harper known to Outhouse members as Visions. What you don't know is the whole truth or at least my side of it. Some of you have written to me and asked if I truly stole the Outhouse some of you just assumed I did and some of you have been at least willing to hear both sides. I am planning on speaking on this just once and then I will move on unless the attacks on my company and my name continue.

In addition to being a webmaster I also work part time at MAPCO a truly shitty job which I hope will continue to give me plenty of great material to write about. A few months in I met Aaron and we struck up a friendship. There was an instant connection between us and he revealed that in addition to working for a used car dealership (something that I look back on now as warning sign) he also worked online. We swapped info and the next thing I know we were in business together. I had bought a vboard license a few years ago and had it up and running on
maddhattentertainment.com I had a major server crash and lost all the info and my partner Gary lost all of the content that belonged to his site nofatchicks.com so I was at a loss as to what to do with the outhouse and put it on hold. Aaron explains to me that these gaming forums are huge right now and if he had one it could help him cross promote his game auction site the now defunct fantasy-auctions.com. We decided to recreate the outhouse as a gaming forum. He would be in charge of promoting the forum and shaping the look of it
as I was clueless about online gaming. I am more of a Nintendo-Sega kind of guy. So I installed my vboard on his server because at that time Aaron while talented could not even install a script.

Next we needed graphics so I enlisted the help of one of my friends Dylan Savage to help with the design. Aaron has always maintained that he paid for all of the graphics that were displayed at the outhouse and to be fair he did but Dylan will himself tell you that he cut us a huge discount as a favor to me. Aaron knows this but in every version
I've heard it's "I did this and that and you brought absolutely nothing to the table" He has even posted this on this new outhouse forum. The fact that he's still calling the forum the outhouse is bogus as we both know that it was my idea and concept which was to create a forum experience that wasn't as stuffy and over moderated like some of those other forums I frequent. Dylan completed 3 of the 5 graphics we needed but with demands of his full time job increasing he couldn't do the other 2 so Aaron the super chimp did the other 2 as he had quit selling cars by now and was working online full time now. When you look at the Everquest,Star Wars and Final Fantasy graphics that Dylan did and then look at what Aaron did on the Warcraft and the main outhouse graphic the difference is appalling but then I'm a perfectionist.

All the graphics were approved by me before Aaron even saw them. Note the Star Wars graphic in the center where you see the faded image of General Grievous the new villain from Revenge of the Sith added last minute by Dylan for me. I thought he looked cool so I wanted him added.
 
The Outhouse was going well so we decided to do another site together. I won't talk too much about this other site because I want to stay on message but it involved virtual game currency. Early in the process he went behind my back and started competing with me and the site that we co-owned. He already got half of what we brought in together plus the full cut of his solo venture so it seemed like I needed to buy him out which I did and go about it for myself.

Now that we were competing against each other I started seeing the real Aaron. He accused me of trying to put him out of business which was never my objective since we were partners on the outhouse. The outhouse began dying and Aaron turned his attention to opening a casino site and stopped working on the outhouse. You all I know I speak the truth because the vast majority of you stopped coming except for Zander and Dragutin. I even pointed out to Aaron that I had been to forums with 50 members that had way more people posting than we did. He said at the time that he could correct this. A few weeks later he locked me out of the outhouse. I asked him what was going on and he sent me the new password but the game money thing kept coming between us. He stopped returning my calls and could no longer be found on Instant Messenger. He was there but he was blocking me as opposed to just talking to me and working the problems we were having like adults. I had the thought that I should back up the forum because of all the drama that was occurring so I did and the very next day he locked me out again and shut down the board. He then registered the ripoff domain outhouseforum.com and contacted my sever host to tell them I was stealing his board. I'd like to personally thank Simon Vincent at AQhost for not taking the bait.

To top things off I found out the super chimp had actually logged into my Vboard account and purchased his vboard license through me. I didn't find out until Vbulletin sent me a copy of the receipt which I still have and look forward to presenting in court should the matter go that route. So now when I log into my account I see that own the licenses to both Vboards because the genius was stupid enough to violate my account. I have a screen shot that I took and a copy of the receipt for anyone who believes me to be a liar. Vboard also said that I could keep both licenses but I'm no thief and asked that they change my account over and make it separate and that I didn't care what they did with the other license which has now been done.

I didn't buy the other Vboard Aaron did when he illegally logged into my
account. This apparently angered the game gods who decided all at once to rain hell down on the super chimp and all of his ape like features.
Apparently good ole Aaron got hacked and locked out of a few of his accounts sometime on Wednesday I guess because he showed up fuming mad at my home banging on the window at about 4 in the morning Thursday threatening to kick my ass and go to the police if I didn't undo what I had supposedly done. The great thing about this is by Aarons own admission (and my own) my programming skills are limited he even posted the following at his forum: "We originally went into this together. He purchased a vB licence and I coded and created a gaming forum out of it. He had no clue how to do it. He started trying to cut me out of a business I showed him so I decided to part ways. He has never even played FFXI or any other MMORPG for that matter. He contributed nothing to the coding and desingn or script hacking at all.The grapics you see at the top of each forum I paid a guy to do FFXI, Everquest, and SWG
grapics. The others I created in photoshop. He drove a little traffic to it with his traffic exchange but we recieved not 1 signup from it. Cold traffic. Other then that when I created the outhouse he was just an admin. So when we parted ways I purchased my own licence and here we are. I plan to make this forum great and it and the equipment and quest databases for all games are in the works right now. Should be finished within the month. I look forward to its growth and I will be adding a new custom style look to each individual forum. Glad to have you back dragutin, you have been one of our biggest supporters. Thanks man" and this:"Hello Outhouse! It's been a while scince we have posted any new news and heres why. We had a rouge administrator try to steal the outhouse and has been making life hell here. He hacked the site, stole the DB and is attemting to claim it as his own. I hve sent emails out to everyone to let them know that we had to change the URL from outhouseforums.com to outhouseforum.com becuase of our differences. The former administrator is being taken to court and will eventually have to take the stolen site down. Outhouse forums has been registered with the copyright office and the librery of congress to ensure this dosin't happen again. I would like to thank all of our loyal outhouse members and moderators (Zander) for being understanding and sticking by us through all of this. I hope you like the changes we have made to improve the look and feel of the site. (FFXI and SWG Forums have had a facelift). Take care and post away outhouse!".

I left his posts completely as is so that you could see the illiterate ways of the super chimp. Note the misspelled words and bad grammer. So now I go from being clueless to some great super hacker which I love. Aaron twists the facts to whatever truth suits his purpose. I have been a webmaster for over 5 years now and have always tried to remain professional but I'd be lying if I didn't admit that this issue has tried my patience. I've allowed Aaron to bring me down to his level. I even contacted his server host after he contacted mine in an effort to shut his board down. In truth I don't give a shit anymore. I'd like to reopen my outhouse the way it was before without the games and shit because I don't know jack about that stuff like I already said but I'm doing the same stuff there that I'm doing here speaking my mind and trying to be fair. It was extremely amusing to have the police call me at 5 in the morning and hearing Aaron whine through the phone. What was worse was that the detective turned out to be a friend of mine that I've known since I was 12 which annoyed him to no end. Despite his threats I won't be spending any time in jail as the detective told us that it was a civil matter which it might be but I have yet to be served with any legal notice and neither has my server host but I took the board offline anyway.

I truly wish nothing but hardship and cancer on Aaron and all who love and support him except for young Austin,Aarons son. I went through a very difficult period right before Christmas when I lost my unborn child and despite the fact that I hate Aaron now (and I do!) he was a good friend to me during that time so what shred of humanity and decency I have left I leave to Austin in the hopes that he grows up healthy and strong and gains all that life has to offer. Feel free to respond all of you. I won't edit your comments in any way even Aarons should he choose to weigh in. If you wish me to go fuck myself I will but only if you go first.

Outhouse

I wish you the best of luck Antonio and wish you no ill will but you know what you did was wrong and extremely low even by your standards. Hacking my hotmail account and then requesting passwords from all the places I do business at, changing all my passwords, and deleting the outhouse databases. Only 1 person would know where to go and know, who my host is, what login name to provide to request the passwords, 1 person only. No one else in the world could have known but you. Thank god the IP addresses were logged and even though you retain your innocence it is just a matter of time before I prove it. The person who contacted you from the police dept was a police officer and not a detective even though you have known him since you were 12 from middle school he still has to file the report. The detectives have contacted me and said they will work on finding the identity of the hacker and peruse the issue providing that I can give them the IP addresses that were logged and letters from all the places that the accounts were compromised to confirm it. Bellsouth, your ISP, is willing to help in this matter any way they can. I would probably drop the whole thing if you would just admit to it like man and cough up about $500 I lost that day due to your lapse of better judgment. It would save you a lot of time and money in the future and possibly jail time.
As far as the vBulletin license was concerned, everyone has to have one in order to run a vBulletin. Just because you purchased one before me does not entitle you to the creative or intellectual rights to the forum. I created a gaming forum from your assembly line script that any Joe could purchase and download. The base script looks like crap and both you and I know that. I gave it life and a whole new genre and appeal to it and you never contributed not a thing to the creation or design. It was never even your idea to create a gaming forum out of that crappy, downloadable base script it use to be. I never illegally accessed your members area of vBulletin, you gave me the log in forever ago when I was scripting it and that stupid little check box to remember passwords was checked so when I went to purchase a license to run the vBulletin it automatically logged me in as you and the new license was purchased under your name. It has since been resolved and now under the appropriate name. As far as you being a Professional , I never brought your real name out there or any of your personal life to the public and posted a blog about your issues.Thats pretty crappy and unProfessional if you ask me. You didn't have to use my real name Aaron I always used my real name in my posts. So the people that went to the outhouse see your dumbass posting about a thief and how you came up with everything these people are not stupid they know who I am. I even saw Dragutin's post asking why I stole the board and you say that your ass didn't put me out there? Then a couple more idiots writing to me telling me to stop trying to take your board. Gimme a break dude. I at least tried to be fair. When you went and got all those mods you sent them to me to install cause there was shit you didn't know but to the public you act like a bitch and take all the credit cause we both know you didn't come up with the name. You sent out that email telling everybody about the REAL outhouse and then I go on the board and you're talking all this shit about me. Saying I'm clueless and yet you want this clueless person to be partnered with you? I would have signed up and posted but since nobody else was I figured why stand out in the crowd? Besides your bitch made ass would have deleted the post rather than let people read the truth and decide for themselves like I did. And since we're on the subject you know that traffic I sent wasn't for signups it was for Alexa and I told your dumbass that shit. Officer,Detective a cop is a cop you idiot and the report is just that a report stating that a complaint was filed and if you recalled I could have filed the same thing against you for the threats you were giving me and the officer told you that idiot. Another thing you haven't considered we have accounts in the same places and when were partners I logged into your accounts so of course my IP address will be all over the damn servers and you've logged into all of those accounts from my house just like I logged into my shit at yours. If I check my server log now it will show that you were on my server so if something went wrong I could claim that you did it. A two dollar lawyer could knock that shit out of court. I don't know about all the hacking and stuff but it seems just from a bystander point of view that if you owned the board and according to what I've read from both sides you did then that fact alone made you at least co-owner of the board Antonio. I'm assuming you guys had some kind of verbal deal going so if he terminated the agreement with out giving you some kind of written notice and locked you out like you said you may have a breach of contract issue. Also Aaron or Visions even if Antonio logged into your account and deleted your board database as you say he could be legally in the clear if you can not produce a legal billing receipt prior to the date of deletion and according to both of you you used his account to purchase the license. Since you had terminated your relationship with Antonio he could sue you for illegally accessing his account. If I quit my job and then go in a few hours later to sneak one last employee discount I could be prosecuted for that. In short once you decided that you didn't want to work with him anymore you give up any legal claim to his accounts that you once may have had. The fact that they sent him the receipt means that when the board was deleted it was still legally his property at least in part and if I were representing him I would argue that it was even though it has been changed over now. If you still have those receipts Antonio I recommend that you keep them as they could help knock out a huge chunk of his case against you. And you can hire and arbitrator to look into legally obtaining the domain Aaron bought. You may some claims as far as the membership of the forum Aaron but I looked up the domain registrations and Antonio had his first he could legally claim "unfair competition" against you because the name you chose closes matches his pre-existing domain. The smart move would have been to change the name of the forum. Once you broke ties you could still keep things virtually unchanged and go about day to day business as usual. Amazon.com and Yahoo have both won numerous cases against people who buy domains to infringe upon their trademark Amazone.com Yahooo.com to name two examples. I would advise you to keep the forum up but change the name to something else. It could be legally argued that you merely registered that domain in an effort to harass Antonio and if you contacted his server host using that name it would strengthen his case. I also read that you obtained the legal rights to the name Outhouse Forums. Antonio legally can void your copyright because he gained some legals rights to the name when he registered it. The mistakes that you've made Aaron while seemingly small may allow Antonio to avoid any real legal damage and you'll end up spending thousands of dollars to find that out instead of the 500 you say you are out now. My advice to both of you is to try to work this out without going to court because it seems like you both have more to lose than to gain. For the record that's not coming from a layman. I am a lawyer or at least I will be when I graduate in a few weeks ;)

Dragutin it's good to hear from you and see that you have at least an open mind on the subject. And Steven thanks for the free legal info and for the record the super chimp did not give me any written or verbal notice before he locked me out of the board. He just did the shit and registered the bogus domain. He can have it though I don't care but if he keeps on messing with me I will try to take the name and counter sue him for accessing my account after he broke contract. As innocent as you try to make it sound Aaron even the Vbulletin guy thought that was a little shady on your part and that was prior to the board being hacked as was your contacting Simon Vincent trying to get me shut down. You are so self centered that everything is just about your genius and what you did and Antonio was just some idiot that did nothing. These people aren't stupid man now that they are seeing both sides the shit looks a little bit different. I've gotten quite a few emails since I put this up. Most people just thought it was funny or that I shouldn't use fowl language but they are at least getting both sides now. What's even funnier is that the day I wrote you after I talked to James an old business contact of mine emailed me I thought you and I could do that shit together as new business venture and smooth shit over between us and then you started that shit about the outhouse and I was glad I didn't tell you about it. I always try to think 10 steps ahead while you think what's in it for me now but you have a lot of real talent and we could have made both our families wealthy if you would have just picked up a damn phone like I did so many times and tried to work shit out. My boy Mike the one I told you had that mail script for your casino that I was going to give you and install for free? He sent it over the day after you locked me out now ain't that a bitch? Passwords had been changed and we had gone are separate ways by the time you did that. If the logs show it was your IP when the malicious attacks were made, that’s it. It a wrap for you. I hate you Aaron. And let's be fair you made this public by sending out that email and posting that shit in your forum. When you were up working on the forum at nights I always thought of you as my little worker monkey which is why I call you the super chimp. And of course I didn't go out there at 4 in the morning with you banging on my window like a moron. I was but naked in my draws and half asleep I wouldn't have been much good in a fight at the time and we both know it would have been a fight. I will miss you sitting there hunched over that computer. God love you Aaron because I don't.

Maddhatt -- it seems to me that you had absolutely no clue what to do with your forum until you met Visions. You said so yourself that he introduced you to the whole gaming world. So why try to take credit where it's not due? It appears as though Visions created this forum and you simply registered the domain name. Just do as you were doing before you ever met Visions. You better keep that job at MapCo -- it looks as if that's the only thing that you're going to do with your life, unless you find someone else's tailcoats to ride on again.

I'm totally cool that you feel that way Suzanne. See that's the point of this. I'm not crazy. I'm not expecting everyone here to kiss my ass in these posts but notice that your post is still up and unedited whereas if I had went to Aaron's forum he would have removed it so that people couldn't hear both sides. Aaron is truly talented I've looked at what he's done with the outhouse since we've parted and it's quite good but I also know that if we hadn't parted ways he would continued to put the forum on the sidelines again. I have no talents as a designer or a programmer. What I brought in was a knowledge of installing advanced scripts which everyone can't do which is why some people charge 30 bucks an hour to do it. Vb3 uses an auto install feature which makes it far easier to install than the previous versions. Aaron learned a lot about installing scripts from me but he still has some learning to do which is why I was going to have to install that mailing script for his casino site for him. And ask yourself this if I am such a no talent that was merely riding on his coattails why would he even bother to work with me? I'm assuming you're intelligent enough to know the answer to that question. I just want him to for once be fair and admit that I did help on that forum but his ego won't let him.

Antonio I was just stopping by to see if you had written anything else as good as your last post. I just read Ice and I read Spamming for Jesus the other day when I was here. I've been sending your stuff to some of my friends and they just love it. The things you write about are laugh out loud funny. I want to help you fight this thing. I talked to John one of the partners at the law firm that I've been interning at. I showed him your blog and the other forum and like I said a few days ago I think you've got a hell of a breach of contract case. I don't want to talk to much about the details here, I'm just posting in case you read here first. The firm that I work for has a few legal contacts in your area and I'd like to help set you up with one. I'm emailing you my contact info with all the particulars. I'm usually home by 5 or so but if not my girlfriend should be there. Just give me a call because I need some more info in order to help you. I can then prepare a document for you. It will contain a bunch of legalese that I'm not expecting you to fully understand. Just print it out and take it to your attorney and he'll know what to do with it. I really think you have a talent and want to try to help you out. I just found out that I passed my last exam by the way. I'm graduating in the top 5 percent of my class so I'm stoked! Anyway I've got to run. I've got a long day ahead of me.
