Oscar Oscar!

I just finished watching the Oscars and I must say that I was very pleased to see that Jamie Foxx won for his brilliant portrayal of Ray Charles. I was a little disappointed that of all the people that Foxx thanked during his acceptance speech he failed to thank Keenan Ivory Wayans the man who gave him his big break on In Living Color over a decade ago. It is true that many white Americans have only just began to know who Foxx is but to the millions of black Americans who tuned in each week to watch Foxxs' scene stealing performances as Wanda or any of the numerous other sketches he was in know that Jamie Foxx has been around for quite some time. The amount of talent to come from In Living Color doesn't end with Foxx. Jim Carey and Jennifer Lopez also got their starts there not to mention all of the Wayans brothers. I'm sure Jamie's failure to mention Keenan was not meant as a slight, like I said before it has been more than a decade and the fact that Foxx is still here is a testament to his great talent. I remember back when Damon Wayans' career was red hot.  I thought he'd be the next Eddie Murphy, instead he's doing a mediocre sitcom on ABC mainly because movies like Major Payne and the Great White Hype somehow bombed at the box office. You never know. By the way I thought it was really lame how Sean Penn got a dig in at Chris Rocks' expense by trying to act all indignant about Rock's opening monologue where he made a joke about Jude Law. I thought for sure that Rock was going to slice him instead he made a quick joke and moved on. Sean Penn is a bitch and his movies are UNWATCHABLE. I truly believe that he left what was left of his talent in Madonna's shriveled old cunt.
