Howard you can't be SIRIUS...

  I have been waiting for Howard Stern to start broadcasting on Sirius for about a year now and I even bought some Sirius stock when I heard he got signed. I planned on getting a Sirius receiver before Howard's first broadcast but never got around to it so when the 9th rolled around I was bummed because I really wanted to hear the show. I kept hearing how great the show was and decided to take a chance and hit the file sharing networks up on the chance that one of Howard's many loyal fans would record the show and upload it as I have found quite a few old Stern bits there. I did the search and found not only Stern's January 9th broadcast but all the other days that I've missed. The first file was huge over 7 and a half hours but the other files have only been of that days show which is 5 hours long. The best part is that even though the shows are so long it's just an audio file so I can download the file fairly quickly and it takes up very little space on my hard drive. The first file I mentioned that clocked in at 7 and a half hours took up a little over 130 megs. If it had been a video file it would have taken up half the drive. Since I was able to download the file in less than half an hour I can stream the show while I work on the mess that is my novel.

  Stern's new show is fantastic and the addition of George Takei as the new voice of Howard 100 is fantastic. It just seemed like he had given up at the end of his run at K-Rock. He became openly frustrated with all the commercials and people telling him what he could say and the overall censoring of his program. I loved watching him on the E! channel since he was not on air anywhere close to where I draw breath but even that half hour became little bits of Stern bitching about how he couldn't wait to be out of there. I didn't enjoy the last days of the E! show because it reminded me of every bad relationship I've ever been in. Howard would represent my girlfriend who had decided that after much thought that she had had enough. I would represent Infinity Broadcasting who after being jilted by Howard decided that instead of just taking the breakup sex and allowing Howard to finish up the last days of his contract and leave on a good note decided instead to fuck with him and make him truly feel our pain. Words were said, dishes were thrown, tears were shed and I hear there are a few very compromising photos circulating the net. "Oh Howard if only you could see the error of your ways and come back to us. I'm sure we could make things right like they were before I got drunk and smacked you around that time. It could work baby...you just have to give it another chance."

I've listened to the entire first week and I can't wait to get a receiver so I can hear the show live. Ohhhh My!
