world of warcraft gold
It didn¡¯t take long for Bob¡¯s sprite to get back to his body. I only briefly gazed at the small serene pool (just a few more inches to the right!) that Bob
¡¯s body laid next too before bringing Bob back to life. Bob shook off the effects of the fall like a trooper. His health and mana were filled up in no time.
Now off to the hunt.
Before Bob actually made it to the nearest field he ran into Melithar Stagheim. Melithar wanted Bob to talk with a dryad because she had a problem. Bob being
a heroic sort couldn¡¯t refuse a dryad in distress.
Bob found Tarindrella, the dryad Melithar told him world of warcraft gold about, in a field
that was south of Aldrassil. She was a beautiful ¡ deer??? ¡ woman??? ¡ DRYAD! She had four legs, a bushy tail, a fawn-spotted rear end, long flowing
green hair, golden vine tattoos encircling her arms and skimpy attire that barely covered her feminine features.
She explained to our willing hero that the wicked Fell Moss had infected some of the creatures in the forest. Grell and Grelkins, who in times past lived
peaceably with all the other woodland creatures, were those infected. She needed Bob to get that infection out of these poor hapless souls. But how? She
explained to Bob that after you kill them you get the infection. Modern medicine might have a problem with that but then again ¡
The long, pointy eared Grelkin were bright orange and yellow. Their lightbulb white eyes definitely disclosed the malignant infection they housed in their
small bodies. Their larger cousins, the Grells, were even worse. They sported blue vests on orange bodies, a clear indication that the infection had reached
their fashion sense. There really was no choice, Bob would have to rid the woods of these atrocities.
Bob spotted some Grells near a campfire further west and world of warcraft gold targeted one
of the them. Bob made a quick inventory of his large assortment of spells. Wrath. At this time Bob accidentally trigger the spell. A blue bolt of magic shot
from his arm and hit the unsuspecting Grell. WOW!!! (or WoW!!!) Bob finally realized that you don¡¯t have to run to the target but can shot the target at a
distance. Useful information to know. He then would be able to ¡.
BAM!!! BAM!!! This brought Bob attention back onto the Grell. The Grell could shoot back! BAM!!! BAM!!! Now where was that spell again. BAM!!! BAM!!! Oh
there it is on the action bar. BAM!!! BAM!!! Bob just needed to press the button¡¡ Again Mean Bob would meet the Resurrection Angel. So went day 6.
World of Warcraft ¨C Noobie Files ¨C Day 7
Mean Bob, was dazed, confused and disgusted when he was finally revived. He was also mad. Those Grells and Grelkins were history. No ands, ifs or buts (can I
say that??).
Bob targeted his first victim in no time and finished him off before you could say supercalifragilistickexpeallidocious (might need to check with Mary
Poppins on that spelling). Suddenly a white light surrounded Bob, accompanied with a maplestory musical
fanfare. Had Bob killed a super Grell with some fantastic magical ability? But Bob was still alive. What had just happened??? I then noticed that Bob was now
at level 2. Fantastic! A new and improved mean Bob.
New and improved mean Bob made short work of the rest of the Grells and Grelkin. He collected the needed cancerous Fell Moss and returned to the dryad. He
received canopy leggings for his troubles and basically was told to move on.
Bob could finally see a pattern emerging. He would do a quest by killing things, receive goodies, level up at times, use the goodies gotten or sell them and
purchase powerful spells to repeat the pattern once again. This could work. So Bob went looking for his next quest. He did put on his updated equipment (the
leggings felt fantastic and the color went great with his eyes) and did acquire the Mark of the Wild spell.
Dirania Silvershine was an elf with large ears and used a huge black kettle to cook in (I put that in to be more festive. After all Halloween is coming!).
She had a problem and was Bob¡¯s next quest. It seems her friend Iverron went north into the woods and had yet to return. Dirania, whose under-eye tattoos
made her look extremely sad, was very worried. Bob would check it out and so headed directly south. He traveled quite a distance before realizing his
directional faux pas and immediately made an about face in search for Iverron.
New and improved mean Bob headed as far north as he could but was stopped by an maplestory
impassable mountain range. Shirting the foothills Bob came upon beautiful foliage. Pinks mixed with greens intertwining with splashes of purples, yellows and
oranges. Small washes and larger valleys revealed large trees and tranquil ponds. The sky peeked through large elvin oaks and ¡ ouch!
What in the world was that? Bob looked down. Nibbling on his left leg was a green spider with black stripes. Bob sprang into action. He hit the Everwood
spider with numerous wrath spells until the spider finally rolled on its back dead. As Bob inspected the spider further, he realized that these things attack
without provocation, something the hogs, cats, Grells and Grelkings never did do. A new crease in this ever complex game.
New and improved mean Bob continued to look for Iverron. The further west he world of warcraft gold
ventured Bob came across more and more of the black stripped arachnid, which he dispatched easily. He also noticed more and more spiders on their backs, legs
up in the air, dead. He suspected he was getting close to something and sure enough Bob discovered Shadowthread Cave.
The cave looked dangerously inviting. Hidden treasures and heroic battles spun around in Bob¡¯s head as he slowly entered Shadowthread¡¯s opened maw. Bob had
a real strong feeling that Iverron was somewhere inside.
With extreme caution Bob made his way to the first fork. Flipping the proverbial coin (a copper piece that he lost on the ground), Bob took the left tunnel.
He was now continually killing the hairy critters until he took another left turn and went over a small ridge. Bob landed smack in the middle of a nest of
startled but angry bugs. Luckily another adventurer had entered the same cave and happened upon the same spot. Together they fought off the onslaught of
furry eight-legged carnivores. After a small congratulatory nod given by both elves, they parted. Bob continued up the left passageway until he came upon the
biggest, meanest, hairiest and ugliest spider of them all ¡ Githyiss the Vile. A titanic battle ensued with the Vile almost getting the upper hand. It was
just in the nick of time that mean Bob remembered he had a healing option. He took it and then finished off the gigantic arachnid. But Bob still hadn¡¯t
found Iverron.
He searched the cave two more times but Iverron was nowhere to be found. On Bob¡¯s third trip around the cave he became so obsessed with the search he
managed to get three spiders attacking him all at once. Overwhelmed with the odds, putting his manhood aside, and partially remembering that something was
the better part of valor, he ran.
He was close enough to the opening and quick enough. He escaped. He ran as fast as he could and turned right. He spotted a secluded wash and turned up it. He
was running for his life when he ran right smack into Iverron! Well, I¡¯ll be, I thought you were IN the cave.

Everything You Need To Know About Mining
Things you should know before choosing to become a Miner:
If your primary profession is either Blacksmithing or Engineering, Mining world of warcraft
gold is practically a prerequisite. Both professions require materials that can only be acquired through Mining. You could choose to not take up Mining
as your second profession, but consequently you'll have to spend an inpractical amount of money on the materials you need to raise your Blacksmithing and
Engineering.
Mining is a great way to make money compared to some other professions. Unless you intend to take up Leatherworking, Mining is a good profession to consider.
The only way to make large amounts of money through mining is by selling Arcane Crystals and Blood of the Mountain in the Auction House. Both of those items
are extremely rare however, and you shouldn't become a miner solely to farm them.
Your success with Mining will be based largely on how lucky you are. I know people who have found 2 Arcane Crystals in one Rich Thorium Vein, while I've
personally only found 1 in my whole career as a miner. You can make a decent amount of money by selling the normal ore you find in any vein. However, how
much money you make will be based largely on your server's population. If you play on a high population server, it will be a lot harder to find veins, and
the prices for your ore won't be as high as they are on other servers.
Unlike other professions, Mining is based largely on luck. If world of warcraft
gold you're the kind of person who loves to gamble, Mining is definitely for you. You never know if that next vein could hold a valuable gem, which adds
a suspenseful and addictive quality to it. I've personally stayed up far past my bedtime on several nights, because you never know...that next Rich Thorium
Vein may have an Arcane Crystal inside.
The Basics of Mining
(If you're already a miner, skip this section)
First, you need to train in Mining.
Below is a list of all the Mining trainers:
Horde Trainers:
Makaru - Located in the center of the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar.
Brek Stonehoof - Located on the western edge of the center plateau in Thunder Bluff.
Brom Killian - Located to the south of the bridge leading to the War Quarter in the Undercity.
Alliance Trainers:
wow gold
Geofram Bouldertoe - Located in the Deepmountain Mining Guild in Ironforge.
Gelman Stonehand - Located on the western side of the Dwarven District in Stormwind.
Yarr Hammerstone - Located on the eastern edge of Kharanos in Dun Morogh.
Dank Drizzlecut - Located slightly north of Gol'Bolar Quarry in Dun Morogh.
Brock Stoneseeker - Located on the southwest side of Thelsamar in Loch Modan.
Kurdram Stonehammer - Located in the northern area of Auberdine in Darkshore.
Matt Johnson - Located in the northern section of Darkshire in Duskwood.
Once you've become a miner, buy a Mining Pick, and start mining copper in one of the zones listed in the Advanced section of this guide. Before you start
mining, don't forget to turn on the Find Minerals ability. This ability will make world of warcraft nearby
mineral veins appear on your minimap as a yellow dot. When you've collected some ore, smelt it into bars at any forge. Smelting your ore will make it more
valuable and allow you to use it when making items for Blacksmithing or Engineering.
After awhile, the Copper Veins will turn grey, and you'll no longer be able to gain skill by mining them. When this happens, you'll need to move on to the
next tier of ore. Check the lists in the Advanced section of this guide to see which kind of ore you need to mine at your skill level, and how much skill you
need to smelt it. You will stop gaining skill points when you reach the maximum skill level for your rank, so make sure you talk to a trainer when you've
maxed out your skill.
Skill Requirement for Each Rank:
Apprentice - 0
Journeyman - 50
Expert - 125
Artisan - 200

request.

Incendicite - Wetlands, in the cave directly north of Dun Algaz on the map.
Incendicite is the objective of the alliance quest Search for Incendicite, which is given to you by Pilot Stonegear in Dun Morogh.
Indurium - Inside Uldaman, in the various tunnels.
Indurium is the objective of the neutral quest Indurium Ore given by Pozzik at the race track in Thousand Needles.

Dark Iron serves 2 purposes. You can either smelt it to create bars for any of the Blackrock Depths exclusive recipes, or you can turn it in to Lokhtos
Darkbargainer in the bar in Blackrock Depths to increase your Thorium Brotherhood faction. When you get your Thorium Brotherhood faction to Honored and
above, Lokhtos will sell you some really nice crafting recipes. Before you get too excited about that prospect, read the paragraph below about smelting Dark
Iron Ore.
To create one Dark Iron Bar, you need 8 Dark Iron Ore, and you can only smelt Dark Iron at the buy wow gold Dark Forge, maple story mesos

Depths in the 7 Ghosts room. He'll teach you how to smelt it if you give him 20 Gold Bars, 10 Truesilver Bars, and 2 Star Rubies. You can only make items

Most gems you find are only used in crafting, and maple story mesos can be bought or sold in the AH cheap.
However, a few gems are extremely rare and therefore valuable:
Arcane Crystals - Anywhere from 20-40g depending on your server. buy wow gold Drop rate is
approximately 3%, although their droprate was reportedly changed in the last patch.
Azerothian Diamonds - Anywhere from 40-100g maplestory depending on your server. Drop rate is
approximately 1%.
Blood of the Mountain - Anywhere from 50-150g dpending on your server. Drop rate is approximately 1%.
Tips
-Use Thottbot if you need any information regarding Mining or just about anything else.
http://www.thottbot.com/
-If you play on a PvP server, stay out of popular zones when trying to raise your skill. Stay away from Hillsbrad Foothills, Stranglethorn Vale, and Arathi
Highlands unless you're questing there.
-Try to avoid Silithus when you're looking for Rich Thorium Veins. Most of them maplestory are
underground, and you have to fight through numerous elite mobs to reach them.
-If you're looking for Rich Thorium Veins, try looking in Un'Goro Crater, Burning Steppes, Eastern Plaguelands, and Azshara first. Those zones seem to have
the most Thorium veins, and they're easy to navigate.
-If you can't gain anymore skill in a zone, don't go to a zone above your level looking for the next tier of ore. If you go to a zone that's too high level
for you, you'll waste a lot of time running back to your corpse. Get a few levels, then move on to the next zone.
-Download the Gatherer and the Repository from:
This addon is extremely helpful, and it'll save you a lot of time.
-Don't give up if it takes you a long time to find Arcane Crystals or Azerothian Diamonds. It's maple
storymesos completely random whether they drop or not, so it may take awhile before you get your first one. Also, don't forget that they only drop from
Rich Thorium Veins, so don't expect to see one drop off a small one.[/I]

I sense lots of fake drama in the tip box this evening, but I'm posting this nugget anyway, just because I like the quotes: The GM of Reforged on Runetotem
did something a little unprecedented when he saw a hunter getting a heal-- he /gkicked all the hunters from the guild and replaced them with warlocks. Gotta
be fake, right? Nevertheless, here's our tipster's punchline: "Harakas, the GM, is not entirely anti-hunter: 'We'd love to have the hunter pets with us in
the raid, it's just the actual hunters are a wasted raid spot.'" Ha ha.
An update about last week's Dragonhawk drama from Nerz'hul: The GM of the new Horde guild has apparently decided that "Horde is boring," and allegedly told
all guildies to go back to The Venture Co. and their old guild. Lots of people haven't, however, so the new Dragonhawk on Nerz'hul is staying, under a new
GM.
The tipster for this one didn't actually tell us the guild's name (only that it was a guild over on Dunemaul's Horde side), but it's a good story. The
guild's been having a little trouble with Gruul, and the one time they downed him, the Magus Blade went to a Mage who was actually a guild newbie. This led
to a little drama, the original GM stepped down and then got in a big argument with the replacement GM, and the original GM got kicked. This didn't make some
veterans very happy, so they jumped ship, too, including our tipster's real-life friend who originally got him involved in the guild. So now, his question:
should he /gquit just to stand by his friend, and be left without a guild to help him progress in gear, or should he stay in the guild until his friends form
a new one? You guys can answer that. His other point is that most drama in world of warcraft goldguilds is
caused by bad management, and to that I say: sounds about right. A guild is only as good as its leader, and if the leader doesn't know how to keep things
together, they won't stay that way by themselves.
Forum drama from Bliss on Gnomeregan: It's not us, it's you. Also: either move on or make it better. Actually, as officer rants go, these aren't too bad--
they're pretty reasonable. But they do have a little too much "WoW is serious business" in them for my taste.
Guildwatch-inspired drama! (maybe). After being featured on GW last week, apparently HooperBandP dot com on Thunderhorn-H was forced to rename! Something
about how guilds can't be used to promote websites. Sorry, guys, if we brought the feds to you-- if anyone asks us where you were on the night of the 26th,
we'll say you were just out bowling with us. They've reformed as three guilds apparently, and all are recruiting casual players-- look up The Watchers, The
Ministry, and Flat Earth maple storymesos Society in game to join.
Essence of Mercy on EU Doomhammer showed up in a Super Healing Pot recruiting thread complaining that SHP was trying to ninja their tanks from EoM, and
apparently SHP has been whispering quite a few guilds to try and recruit their members. Is that wrong? You decide. In other news, SHP is recruiting tanks and
healers. Who knew?!
DOWNED
Remnants of Twilight on Feathermoon-A poured salt all over Hydross for a guild first.
Rolling With My Gnomies has cleared Karazhan over on Suramar, and they say Gruul is on notice (with the help of Full Circle). He's at 74% so far, and they
want Mag to know he's next, but guys-- only one boss on notice at a time!
Kung Foo Monkey Badgers wants you to know where their website is, so click on their name to find out. And no, they still didn't win the Best Guild Name award
this week. Sorry guys!
Alliance Bravehearts are a casual, family guild on EU Aszune-A dropped Moroes and the Big Bad maplestory
mesos Wolf to boot. Maiden of Virtue is on notice!
Whoops, made a mistake last week: Dominion, who's been progressing nicely, is on the Tanaris server, not Terenas. My heartfelt bad.
Ambiguous Raiders on Khaz Modan have finally world of warcraft gold dropped Gruul like so
many rocks loosened by that Shatter. Pic above. They're also recruiting a few healers and other dedicated raiders for their 25mans.
Drachefaust (winner of this maple story gold week's Best Guild Name award) on Garona-A finished
off maplestory both Al'ar and Leotheras the Blind. Solarian, guess what buddy? We got a message
for you the other day, and wrote it on a post-it note, but we can't seem to find it. Wait, we'll check the other room. No, it's not in here either-- you
haven't seen a little orange post-it note somewhere, have you? Oh maybe it's by the computer. Yeah, here it is. Your message was... YOU'RE ON NOTICE!
Shadow on Firetree kilt (that's how they say it in the South) Morogrim and Void Reaver. Grats!
Demons Down Under on Cenarius killed off Gruul, wow gold and they're also recruiting active players for
some good raiding.
Modus Operandi on Sentinels-A killed off wowgold Doomwalker for a server first, and apparently it was a
surprise to maplestory everyone-- even the raid, who learned they were going for him when the GM said their first boss
of the night wasn't Lurker. That sounds fun.
Ruin and Mediocrity on Anatheron-H have both dropped Kael'thas.
Crimson Halo on Shadow Council-A finally "gave Void Reaver the kicking he deserved." But did he really deserve it? What if he went through some terrible
tragedy as a young Void child? Maybe, just maybe, he's just misunderstood. Did you ever think of that? Oh and Mags is on notice, they say, and they're right:
that "my blood is my own" maplestory gold bastard deserves what's coming to him.
KVN of Laughing Skull also downed Void Reaver, not realizing that they might be the real boss encounter, not him.
Highborne of Exodar-H dropped both Solarian and Morogrim for two guild firsts in one week. Grats!
Cat's Game on Gorefiend-A dropped the Illidari Council world of warcraft for an Alliance first
and server second. Now it's a horse race between them and Limbo (the rival Horde guild) to drop Illidan. Who is most prepared?
Hegemony on Argent Dawn-A killed off Void Reaver, on their very first attempt of the night. Meanwhile, they're still recruiting more for their raiding base.
Get in now while you still can!
RECRUITING
Vindictive on Skullcrusher-A is recruiting a boomkin, feral druid, and elemental shammy, as well as two shadow maplestory gold priests. They're working on phase 4 of Kael'thas, so be good and well geared.
Insomnia is a late night guild over on Baelgun-- they're recruiting new players to help out with Mag, and they raid Tues-Thurs and Sundays from 9:30pm to
1:30am PST.
Legends Reborn is a Horde guild (server?) recruiting feral druids, mages, paladins, warlocks, and resto shammys to raid Kael'thas and go into BT and Hyjal.
After clearing out Karazhan, Diurne on Ravenholdt is recruiting for Gruul's and beyond. More info on their website.
Slayers of the Majestic on Kalecgos is recruiting mature, experienced players who jump on for roughly two hours at a time (so, casual players). They've got
about 20 60+ toons right now and are headed to the endgame.
Legion of the Eternals on Malfurion-A is a mature, friendly guild looking for mature, friendly players for Karazhan and Gruul, especially Mages. Please be
attuned for Karazhan,
maple story mesos and have some nice pre-Epic gear on.
The No Timers on EU Shadowsong-H is looking for casual players who are interested in running 5 mans and Heroics, and just generally having fun. They haven't
had a lot of luck with recruiting yet, so if you're interested, be sure to contact them post-haste (that means fast).
Escapism (woohoo my old Alliance guild-- they're good people! cheap wow gold Shouts out to
Beril, Creepy, Ishtro, Millrats and all the old gang-- Jesse still with you all?) on Zangarmarsh-A is recruiting mature players to fill out their second Kara
team and 25 man raid roster. Seriously, join them, they're fun.
Bind on Archimonde-H only has maple story mesos Nightbane left in Karazhan, so now is the perfect
time to join their guild (all of the Kara loot, none of the wiping!). They're looking for friendly and active players to continue progression with.
That's it for this week's GW! As always, please send us your tips at http://www.wowmoney.eu they're what we use to feed this seemingly insatiable
entertaining piece of writing every week. Until next time, happy raiding, and may everyone in the raid get an Epic of their own!

• 10/30/2007 - Interview with a Warcraft fan fiction novelist
| Interview with a Warcraft fan fiction novelist
Liuceijya of the Silver Hand realm and I share a common insanity, a folie-a-deux if you will. Both of us are participating in something called NaNoWriMo.
When I ran into her during the kick-off party for this crazy project, she turned out not only to be a reader, but a reader with fan fiction on the brain. We
started talking simply because she was wearing a The Forsaken Metal t-shirt, and I recognized a fellow WoW fan in the group of stodgy half-crazed authors.
The more we spoke, the more I realized that her fascinating story should be shared with you readers, as I know there are more than a few fan fiction writers
out there.
WoW Insider: Can you explain NaNoWriMo a bit for those that world of warcraft gold
don't know what it is?
Liuceijya: NaNoWriMo-- National Novel Writing Month-- is a balls-to-the-wall, kamikaze approach to writing that by its very nature emphasizes quantity over
quality. The aim is to get something, anything down on paper (or computer screen or papyrus scroll) because after all, you can always tweak it later.
Participants start on November 1st and the goal is to write a 50,000 word novel (or approximately 175 pages) by the end of November 30th.
How long have you participated in NaNoWriMo? Which years did you finish?
This will be my fourth year of NaNoWriMo; I started in 2004 and have participated every year since. Unfortunately, 2004 was the only year I actually finished
because I was not yet playing WoW at that point. I made it to about 12k in 2005 and 20k in 2006; this year, however, I have decided to give in to the demon
that is WoW and write some fan fiction. Perhaps it'll keep me off the game itself long enough to actually finish. *grin*
Have you written World of Warcraft related fan fiction before? Any of novel length?
I have written a good number of WoW-related vignettes, mostly relating to storylines I was involved with at the time, but nothing of actual novel length.
Unfortunately I did not think to save most of them to my computer and the Silver Hand forums ate them a long time ago. Ah, well, that's one lesson learned.
What particular challenges are added to your endeavor because you are writing fan fiction?
Avoiding the scourge (pun fully intended) that is WoWWiki. I don't want to get so distracted researching this or that little detail that I neglect to work on
the actual novel... it's quite a well-known phenomenon to us WriMos; Wikipedia probably triples its daily traffic in November thanks to the likes of us.
(It's like Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, only worse!)
There is also, of course, the challenge of making the story fit in with the established universe-- and making sense of already sketchy timelines. I might
have to take a few small liberties with it to make sense of it all, but that's par for the course. There is the Blizzard timeline given between the original
release and Burning Crusade-- a year-- and then there is the Silver Hand 'canon' that covers a bit longer of a period than that because it was a launch
server. When in doubt I angle more towards the server timeline, as it keeps me from having to pack an impossible amount of story into a relatively short
amount of time.
Either that or I blame the Bronze Dragonflight. Damn you, Nozdormu! *shakes fist*
I know you prefer the roleplay style of gameplay. Do you think thisworld of warcraft
gold better prepared you to write fan fiction? Why or why not?
Oh, it definitely has. Roleplay is by far the biggest draw World of Warcraft has for me; if not for the friends I'd made roleplaying, I'd probably be bored
stiff if I didn't have an instance or a raid to go to. (And don't get me started on PvP... it's a welcome diversion at times, maplestory but by no means the end-all and be-all of my gameplay.) Much of my recent writing has been
WoW-centric anyway, so it only makes sense to take it to the next level.
What is the inspiration for your novel this year?
The World of Warcraft universe itself, of course-- especially the Scarlet Crusade. The Crusade has what I consider to be one of the most interesting (and
tragic!) storylines in the game, and I would definitely like to see Blizzard buy World of Warcraft Golddo more with
them in Wrath of the Lich King. For instance, what happened to the Scarlet Fleet that was sent up there? I'm going to try and come up with some of my own
answers to those questions and flesh out a few bits that were merely hinted at. (Those statues in Herod's room in the Monastery...) I also draw a great deal
of inspiration from my faith-- I won't get into any specifics on that, but suffice to say I don't shy away from exploring those particular themes.
Most important is the role playing I have been doing for the past couple of years, particularly recent developments. The novel itself will be tied quite
heavily in with the story arc I am currently running. Although it is hard to represent such things in a relatively static game world, I figure a former
Scarlet who has had others under her command and spurred them to commit atrocities in the name of the Crusade would have to answer for her crimes
eventually... and this provides the basic framework for the novel.
Can you explain a bit about world of warcraftyour main character? How long have you been playing
her, and how her story became so very convoluted.
Ahhh, yes... Liuceijya, my dear, unspellably-named ex-Scarlet Paladin. (You should listen to people try to pronounce it in Vent, it's hilarious.) I've been
playing her since about March of 2005 and I started out just RPing her and letting her story organically come buy wow goldtogether-- she's really one of those characters who just writes herself. In one of the roleplaying
scenes maplestory I did, she ended up just out of the blue admitting that maple story mesos she had been a member of the Scarlet Crusade, and it surprised the heck out of me...
but it made so much sense. Then things just snowballed from cheap wow gold there, other player characters
became involved (one in particular, a Scarlet herself, ended up becoming a key part of Liu's history as her best friend from the Crusade) and we really had a
grand old time with it.
Now, some people might shoot me for the fact that she also ended up half-Elven, but I would have conscientiously avoided it had it not made the most sense
for her character. So essentially, the bulk of her character-building came about wow goldby
picking her brain and figuring out how she got the way she is.
She is something of a departure from the previous generation of cheap wow goldPaladins, such as Uther,
Turalyon and Highlord Mograine; she could very easily have followed Arthas's way of maplestory
mesosthinking to its logical conclusion (hello, rerolling as a Death Knight, anyone?) but because of her history she's made a conscientious effort not
to. Unfortunately, she does have a great deal to answer for, and she can't escape that judgment forever.
Are you planning on publishing the novel once you are finished?
I might consider maple story mesos it, yes, but probably not to Fanfiction.net. world of warcraft goldNo disrespect to people active over there-- and I was myself, several years back-- but
it's rather easy for decent fan fiction to get lost in the mountains of dreck that infest the place. I may try publishing it someplace more tightly focused
on Warcraft fan fiction.
Would you consider giving us an excerpt buy World of Warcraft Goldlater on so that we can share your writing with our
readers?
I most certainly would-- but not before I edited it first, of course. I may end up veering off into maplestory mesosvery R-rated territory, so I would need to excise bits of it to make it more appropriate to a wider audience. (Yes, I see you
middle schoolers sneaking past the internet filters at school! Naughty, naughty!) And secondly... well, the more literary-minded might recall what Ernest
Hemingway had to say on the subject of first drafts. Suffice to say, I would have to clean things up a good deal first before I considered it readable.
Are any of you writing fan fiction that you would like WoW Insider buy wow
goldreaders to know about? Send us an email to amanda [dot] rivera [at] weblogsinc [dot] com and tell us about it. Also, if any of you readers out there
are participating in NaNoWriMo, send me an email with your username, and I'll add you to my writing buddies. We need all the support we can get if we are
going to survive November in one piece.

• 10/24/2007 - Guildwatch: Smooth sailing
| Guildwatch: Smooth sailing
I gotta say, it seems like things are going pretty darn well in Guildwatch land. After the drama of Karazhan, most guilds have things figured out, and while
the majority of them are storming through SSC and eventually TK, a few are still running through Karazhan and Gruul. But everyone seems pretty happy, and
there's almost no chance Zul'Aman will stop that-- if anything, 10 man instance lovers will be even more thrilled.
So what's the next speedbump in guilds' futures? The onset of Death Knights? Whatever it is, you'll probably read about it here on Guildwatch-- click the
link below to read about Drama, Downed, and Recruiting news from around the realms for the week, and don't forget to send us your own guilds' (or other
guilds', for drama) tips at wowguildwatch@gmail.com. Onward!
DRAMA
Guild split (and reform): Dragonhawk on Venture Co.-A is disbanding so members can re-roll Horde on Ner'Zhul in order to enjoy post 2.3 content (not sure why
they need to be Hordies to enjoy it, but more Horde the merrier). The new guild on Ner'Zhul (creatively named Dragonhawk) is also currently recruiting
experienced re-rollers.
"I'm not normally a tattle, but many of you might find yourself in the same situation, and would prefer knowledge up front concerning such things. Maybe I
just don't know better, but I thought crap like that would be mentioned before the raid started, and not after giving the drop to a fellow guildie. Faiths
from Disorderly Conduct is a jerk and he treats his guildies (and non-guildies) like slaves, and maybe I'm a jerk for posting this, but I am super pissed."
No Moroes loot for raiding guests on Shu'halo.
Bloodthirst on Stormreaver wants us to know they just lost a good amount of world of warcraft goldtheir
raiding base. Why? The players sucked. The officers actually emailed to say they /gkicked folks for "underperforming or being immature" in their raids.
They're looking for more people, but /gkicking for immaturity? If everyone did that, would there be any guilds left?
Pretty much all "accusation" threads go exactly like this: "Warning people: XXXX ninja'ed the bank of this guild." "How dare you say that, no I didn't you
are a liar." "Actually you did, remember when you took everything in the bank and transferred off the server?" "Oh. Yeah. Well, you still shouldn't tell
people about it!"
Here's a good writeup of The Fall of Mortalis Ultrix on Tanaris, but it sounds a lot more dramatic than it is-- they just had some slow progression and fell
apart because of it. More insight here.
Funny story from Courage on Emerald Dream-- rumor has it that the guild likes talking behind each others' backs, and when an officer named Gwiz logged on
Vent one night, a little inebriated to find the others maplestory chatting about how bad of a healer he was.
Angry, he started /gkicking everyone he could, and the guild, fighting Shade, watched their members get /gkicked around them. Apparently the guild and the
GM, Blackpoole (who we're told supports this gossip), had to spend the whole next day reinviting people back into the guild.
Judgment on Gnomeregan took a few of Fidelium's members, but they don't really care. Or do they? Bonus drama: 13 pages in, apparently Angelstone has been
cheating on ex-husband Primestone with an internet boyfriend. Oh the tears, they taste like candy. I love them so.
DOWNED
Forbidden on EU Hellscream-A have, after two months in Karazhan, finished off the Prince. Nice job. They're maplestory mesosalso still looking for a few folks to fill out group number 2.
The Noble Europeans on EU Aggramaggan-H finished off Solarian, Al'ar, and Leotheras, leaving one in SSC and another in TK. Grats!
Less QQ More Pew Pew on Boulderfist-A has dropped Gruul. Rawk!
Space Balls of Thrall-A also dropped Al'ar and Solarian this past week. Just Vashj, TK, and FLK stand in their way before Black Temple and Hyjal.
Eidolon on Baelgun-A is rocking lately-- Hydross, Lurker and Voidreaver have all fallen beneath their heel. Morogrim, you're on nizzotice!
Crowd Control on Blackwing Lair dropped Illidan recently, but they had a problem-- he despawned, so no loot. Eventually they found a GM to hook them up.
Grats CC!
The Wanderers on Uther-H have downed Void Reaver. Mag and the Lurker below have had an APB issued for their arrest, shoot on sight.
Wraithsteel Legion on Azjol-Nerub-H took out Solarian, A'lar, Void Reaver, and Doomwalker for the first time last week. All in one week! Awesome show great
job!
Carebear Refugees on Ursin-H say "we roll Horde" (I love it), and have just world of warcraft gold
dropped the Lurker. Ce magnifique! (there's a lot of downed news this week, and I'm running out of exclamations)
Dominion on Terenas dropped Nightbane and HKM, and they're recruiting Shamans for Karazhan and beyond.
Dark Fist on Argent Dawn-A downed Fathom Lord last week, and they meant maplestory to tell GW
about it earlier, but Vashj hit them a little too hard on the head. Short term memory loss-- it's a killer.
Absolute on buy wow goldEmerald Dream has downed Vashj in SSC and has worked their way up to Kael in TK.
Lucidity on Thorium Brotherhood-A says they sunk the Lurker, but really, they floated him. Get it right! And grats!
Kung Foo Monkey Badgers on EU Runetotem have finally dropped Moroes, and they're super happy about it (I know the feeling, we had trouble with Moroes for a
while, too). Curator also got it, and the Chess Event got beaten as well. They're also recruiting all classes. However, I am sorry to report that they still
don't win the Best Guild Name award. Better luck next time!
KVN on Laughing Skull-A also skewered the Lurker. Void Reaver is on notice (you only get one boss on notice, guys. putting more than one boss on notice just
makes them laugh at you).
Ascendo Tuum on Eitrigg-A downed Void Reaver last night. As they say in Greek restaurants, OPAAA!
Delusions of Grandeur on Draka-A had dropped Kael'thas and is headed to BT (that's their pic above). You better be prepared, kids.
Shafted (the same Shafted from the drama above?) on Baelgun-H downed Mags this week and are also seeking some more qualified raiders to fill out their ranks.
Immortalis on Greymane-H finished off Hydross with four people still standing after two nights of attempts. Al'ar is on notice!
Outcast on Duskwood-A celebrated their birthday by downing both Netherspite and Nightbane to finish off Karazhan for good.
Colossus of Eldre'thalas downed Tidewalker this week, and dedicated the kill to a guild member they lost last week when he was hit and killed by a drunk
driver. RIP Karunch/Mnemonic. His family, friends, and of course guild are in GW's prayers this week.
Emissaries of Darkness on EU Xavius finally took down Gruul with world of warcraft goldonly
two casualties "after weeks of wiping on that big ugly Gronn," they say, although sometimes Gruul is actually a Gnome.
Remnant from Kirin Tor-H has fully cleared Karazhan on their second week in there. Awesome!
Firefly on EU Sporeggar only formed last Monday and have downed Gruul, VR, Lurker, and Hydross. Also, Morogrim and Solarian have eaten floor for Alliance
firsts. "KT and Vashj best start running!"
Unbearable on EU Bladefist world of warcraft have rocked their way up to Prince and Spite. Grats, and a special
shoutout to Steamburst, the imba fury Warrior who leads them.
Evolution on EU Moonglade downed Morogrim after lots of buy World of Warcraft Goldattempts at around 70%.
Apparently their Pally respecced Protection, and then they finished him off. But I don't get it-- why would making your healer spec Protection help? I'm
kidding, I'm kidding!
Corrupted on Burning Blade dropped both HKM and Gruul, and the last few percent of Gruul was just barely. Still, a kill's a kill.
RECRUITING
Buttered Monkeys on Velen is recruiting mature, experienced adults who enjoy frequent, but casually short periods of play. Looking for busy people who are on
quite regularly for 30-minute to 2-hour long sessions. Currently home to 2 60+ toons and will be raiding when everyone reaches end-game.
Super Healing Pot on EU maplestory mesos
Doomhammer is looking for people to help them farm Karazhan. And they've got a good idea: raiding in shifts. You can sign up for 8-10 or 10-12pm. All of the
raiding progression, none of the long hours.
The Dream Team on Terenas-A is recruiting for 10 man content (lately, my favorite kind). They want ZA and some Karazhan, so join with them, load up 10
people, and go get some loot!
New Age United on Archimonde-A is looking for more to help them with SSC and TK (specifically dedicated healers. Please be mature, well-geared, and ready to
raid.
HooperBandP dot com (yes, that really is their name, WI commenter Hooper's crazy about self promotion and we love him for it) is seeking folks on
Thunderlord-H for their WSG and AB teams. They say that to join you need to be an Engineer with rocket boots-- is that true? Contact Seanshaft or Stouthoof
if you are such an Engineer.
Hordecore on Echo Isles is recruiting 70s for Gruul and beyond.
Deathgroup 8 (they killed 1-7) on Rexxar-H is trying to fill out their ranks for Kael'thas. Priest, Droods, and Warlocks preferred.
Red Circle of Kel'Thuzad-A is seeking healers (and a maple story mesos few more) to fill out their
25 man groups. They're mature, respectful, and fun, and even though they're casual raiders, they don't use "casual" as an excuse to suck.
Demopens on Stormreaver (which stands for Demolition Penguins, not an exploding pen like I thought) are a cool guild of real-life friends who are looking to
expand their ranks for 25 man raiding.
Burning Sensation on Hyjal-H looking for folks to help them 2 group Karazhan and do 25 mans beyond that. They're seeking good offtanks, healers, and ranged
DPS.
Mystical Wisdom on Sisters of Elune is recruiting a few holy Priests, and a Shadow Priest, Warlock, and a Holy Pally.
New Blood on Oceanic maple story mesos Khaz'goroth-H is looking for Holy Priests and Resto Druids
to help bring down Gruul.
No MAAM on Blackrock-A is recruiting Holy Priests, Shamans, Resto Druids, and Warlocks, but they're not for you kiddies. They're up to Archi and Teron
Gorefiend, so be BT & Hyjal attuned and geared for both.
Shadow Dragons on wow goldSmoulderthorn-H is recruiting to take on Karazhan, and they're willing to help
you get attuned and leveled up in all instances.
The Foundation on Mannoroth-H is a relatively new raiding guild (in mostly blues), looking for help in Kara. Join up with them and go get those epix!
Not Dead Yet on Suramar-A, an established endgame guild, is now taking applications to fill out its three Karazhan raiding teams. They're looking for good
players who just don't have endless hours of cheap wow goldraiding time available.
Optimus Luminarium on Dark Iron is seeking tanks and others for Karazhan and beyond. They are family-friendly, low drama, and looking to have fun.
Murloc Stole my Socks (winner of this week's Best Guild Name award) on Thorium Brotherhood-H are recruiting for endgame content as a friendly, fun guild.
Round Em Up and AOE on Eldre'Thelas is seeking tanks, Shadow Priests, Shamans, Pallys, and Warriors (and all other classes possibly) to do the 10 man content
with a fun, close-knit group of friends.
Coalesco of Whisperwind is actively recruiting mature, friendly players of all levels and classes for Karazhan and beyond.
Good lord, this is a long Guildwatch. Almost too long, except that we just love posting this stuff for you guys. And the nice comments on the tips help, too,
thanks very much. Until next week, as always, happy raiding!

• 10/23/2007 - New Alien Arena 6.10 blows away its FPS competition
| New Alien Arena 6.10 blows away its FPS competition
Today, COR Entertainment is scheduled to release version 6.10 of Alien Arena 2007, the popular free software, 3-D, first-person shooter built atop id
Software's Quake II engine, which was released under the GPL in 2001. The new release of Alien Arena comes with seven new arenas, a better arsenal of
weaponry, and a new game mode for one-on-one duels.
If you're a gamer but not familiar with Alien Arena, think of Quake III or Unreal Tournament and maplestory mesosyou
won't be far off the mark. If you're not familiar with those icons of the first-person shooter genre, think massive, sustained, unrelenting, ankle-deep-in-
blood, kill-or-be-killed carnage which can be enjoyed solo, just you against the bots on your PC, or, if your taste in killing tends toward living targets,
in multiplayer mode on a network server.
Alien Arena is a 3-D game, so to try it you'll need hardware support for 3-D acceleration. You'll also need, at a minimum, a 1GHz processor, 256MB of memory,
and 500MB of available disk space. Downloads for both Windows and Linux versions of the game are available at a number of sites.
Running a server
Select HOST SERVER on the main screen if you want a href="http://www.wowmoney.eu/">world of warcraftto run an Alien Arena server. You'll get a GUI screen
that allows you to assign all the options, including the server name, map, game mode rules, and other items.
To install the game, unzip the download file, which contains both executables and source code. At the command line, change to the alienarena2007 subdirectory
created when you unzip the download, and enter ./crx to start the client, or ./crded to start a dedicated server.
To display Alien Arena's console in the top half of the GUI, press the tilde (~) key. From there, world of
warcraft goldyou can change game options, chat with other players, or use any of the 138 available commands. I used the console the first time I started
the game to set my name with the command NAME WARTZILLA. To close the console, press the Esc key.
You can also set maple story mesos and change your game name in the GUI. Use the arrow down key to highlight GAME
OPTIONS and press Enter twice. That takes you to the Player Setup screen, where you can also choose one of 11 different player models, a red or blue skin,
left- or right-handed play, Internet connection speed, and various download options. By default, the game automatically tries to download new maps, models,
and sounds when you connect to a server.
Click to enlarge If your play control maplestory mesossettings are not to your liking, tweak them to your heart's
content by first highlighting the specific control, pressing Enter, and then pressing the key or button you want to use for the action. Don't be afraid of
messing things up; an option at the bottom of the page returns everything to the default settings.
You can change video options in the same way from the main screen. By default, you are in full-screen mode at 1024x768 resolution. To change that, highlight
VIDEO OPTIONS and press Enter. There are also options to set brightness and display options, which may impact your performance in terms of frames per second
in game play. Unlike the GAME OPTIONS, changes to video require you to explicitly apply the changes when you're done, or they won't stick.
Once you have customized everything to your liking, a href="http://www.wowmoney.eu/">world of warcraftyou're ready to play. You can play in SINGLE PLAYER
mode, select JOIN SERVER for a multiplayer game, or start your own dedicated server.
I recommend at least maple story mesos an hour or so of SINGLE PLAYER experience before you venture onto the Internet
for multiplayer games. wow goldSelect SINGLE PLAYER, press Enter, then choose the level of play. EASY is the
default, but it's not really all that easy. The bots are quite capable of sending you to eternity, even at the easy level.
You may also want to use SINGLE PLAYER mode to explore the many maps available as playgrounds. I count 43 maps in the SVN version of the game I downloaded
and built the day prior to release. Each map combines a mode of play -- Death Match, Capture the Flag, All Out Assault, and so on -- with an arena, such as
Atlantis, Omega, or Babel. There are 22 maps available for Death Match play, for example. You can change maps at the console with the MAP MAP-NAME command.
Selecting JOIN SERVER at the initial screen brings up the screen shown here. It's probably a good idea to select REFRESH LIST and press Enter before
proceeding, to ensure that only currently active servers are displayed. Click on any of the servers listed to see information about the server and the
players on it. When you find a server you want -- the USA Beginner Team is a good place to hone your multiplayer skills -- highlight it using the arrow keys,
then press Enter.
The default game mode is the Death Match, where it is every player for himself. The rules are simple: kill everyone else and cheap wow goldavoid being killed. Other game modes include Capture the Flag, All Out Assault, Deathball, Team Core
Assault, and the newest one, Duel.
In Capture the Flag, you must steal the other team's flag and bring it back to your team's base. The team with the most captures wins. All Out Assault is
like Death Match, but buy wow goldyou can hop in vehicles and travel in them. If a server is running Duel
mode, only two players are allowed at a time, and they go head-to-head. I've not had a chance to try Deathball and Team Core Assault yet.
When you join a server that is running a team game, you'll be asked if you want the server to assign you to a team, or to pick between the red and the blue
teams.
If you ever need help with Alien Arena, check the game forums. You may find others have had the same problem and found the fix. If not, you can post a
message, and more knowledgeable folk, developers as well as users, can have a look at it.
There are both Windows and Linux versions of the game. world of warcraft goldAccording to John Diamond,
the game's lead developer, Alien Arena has been downloaded more than 500,000 times since it was released two years ago. He guesses that about 10% of those
downloads were of the Linux version, but notes that about half of the game's regular players are running the game on Linux.
I wrote last year that "Tremulous is the best free software FPS game I've had the pleasure of playing." Alien Arena has changed my mind about that. They're
both great, and both stand on the shoulders of the free software Quake engine, but Alien Arena is now at the top of my list.
